importance & self worth
You know, each and everyone one of us is important. But, how often do we undermine our worth? How often do we think ‘well, I can’t be too picky’ or ‘I should be lucky to have even this’ or ‘This is as good as it gets. Who am I to demand more?’
I”m here to tell you that you ARE IMPORTANT.
You are worth so very much, and more. The little voice in our heads sometimes challenges the inner wisdom. That little voice is probably our Ego. Knowing and feeling important, for some borders on arrogance. For others it’s almost narcissistic. But, is it?
If you don’t think you are truly worthy and important to say/do/be/have, then who will?
What you think of yourself projects out into the world. My favourite quote or poem is by Marianne Williamson where she says: “……Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone…”
Feel important, because you are. Inspire others to know their worth too.

be careful what you wish for
Well, hello!
Yes, that is going to be me there, writing this Blog from a beach. Writing about inspiration, about healing, about all sorts of stuff, mainly about dreaming BIG.
I love to write. I love to talk and talk and talk. I love to hear what you have to say. What your dreams are.
But, I also love to dream, visualise things and experiences I want to come into my life. What I struggle with is letting go. What is challenging for me, is to be in the Now, when I’m also, simultaneously creating a grand vision for what’s to come.
I’ll tell you something though – all those times I sat and wrote in my journal, and described in great detail how I want things to be (and I did change things sometimes, fuelled from my own insecurity that I could be dreaming way too big for my own good), well, some things are really happening.
So, what I can sum up, that works for me is this:
1. Write a ‘Day in the Life of your New Life’. Write it like a story, and you’re the main lead.
2. As you write, get excited
3. Add some pictures if you can. If you have a vivid imagination, picture cut outs might not be essential. If you need more visuals, get busy with your scissors or internet and photoshop.
4. Try to not be influenced by societies demands on what you SHOULD want or value.
5. Surround yourself with people who value what you value and support your dreams.
6. Let it go. This is hard, but once you’ve spent 5 minutes just doing this exercise, leave it. Read over your ‘vision’ often, perhaps each day and then put it aside.
7. Number 5. is important, because you’ll lose your mojo, your spark, that ‘fire in your belly’ about your dreams from time to time. This is normal and it’s what can extinguish your dream. That’s why it’s important to find like-minded people.
Then, one day, you’ll remember the ‘wish’ you had, and realise it’s happened, or it is really going to happen any minute.
Be careful what you wish for, because I guarantee, eventually it does happen. Maybe not as immediate as we wish, but the journey from thought to action will reach its destination: WISHES COME TRUE.
What interrupts or short-circuits this line from thought to action is disbelief and vague wishes.
8. Be specific.
I specifically would like to be writing this blog, whilst sitting on a beach..
What about you?
~Jenny
